MTG IRS EGSE & IRS\FCI-TA Thermal EGSE

MTG mission will be fulfilled by a series of four imaging satellites, supporting the Flexible Combined Imager (FCI) and the Lightning Imager (LI) (MTG-I), and two sounding satellites, supporting the Infrared Sounder (IRS) and accommodating the Sentinel 4 UVN instrument (MTG-S), for a minimum of 20 years nominal operational lifetime.

ANTARES is in charge of the development and manufacturing of two series of EGSEs for OHB Munich:

n.3 IRS EGSE, covering test equipment needs to emulate the presence of the MTG-IRS satellite bus platform.
It is composed of 3 major elements:
• IRS SCOE,
• SDP SCOE,
• CCS (as CFI);

n.2 IRS & FCI-TA Thermal EGSE for supporting the testing of both IRS-STM and FCI-TA EM OTM, commonly used during Thermal Vacuum Tests to control all sensors and heaters.
